Today my first 2 apps were published on the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace. Although nothing groundbreaking by any means, building the apps was a fun experience and a good introduction to Silverlight. Probably the hardest thing for me was learning the framework, but once I figured everything out it was pretty smooth sailing. stackoverflow.com is a great resource for any development questions on the Windows Phone 7 because they have such a large community of C# developers. I visited SO many times while I was developing and 90% of my questions had already been posted and solved by someone else.
